The University of Liverpool Sports Centre by Denys Lasdun & Partners is one of the most striking of Liverpool University’s post-war buildings. Built from 1963-66 and situated close to Abercromby Square, the raw concrete and glass exterior with its slanting lines contrasts dramatically with the regularity of the neighbouring Georgian architecture.
